People’s opinion’s about you and yourself don’t matter. They really don’t, or at least they shouldn’t. However most people let that effect them and what they want to be. They want grandma and dad and whoever important in they’re life to accept them and what they do. To me, that shouldn’t matter and that’s what I believe leads to most people’s downfall. People care too much. Take college for example. Most people don’t like school and the thought of going back for another four years gives them an aneurism. However, because of us as a society and a people and us wanting to fit in end up with us having a worthless degree and $20,000 in debt all because we want to fit in. This quote is one of the reasons I love what Garyvee does and stands for. He’s trying to say that only he knows who he is because of the fact that he doesn’t let other people’s opinions matter. I agree with this belief 100%. Why should the opinion of a stupid girl in my freshman algebra 1 class matter to me in effecting what I do for a living when I’m never going to see her when I’m out of high school.
